Classics Reborn

Well KK thinks he's the magic ingredient. The fact he's been out of the band for a few years and they are still going does nothing to change that thought either.
Interestingly if the band had folded when he quit, like he thought it should because it wasn't going in the direction JP was supposed to go, they wouldn't be having a 50th anniversary anyway. So I don't know why he's bitching to be let back in! :)
This.

I can't for a second believe that someone with the ego that guy has would suggest Van Halen is a better name than Roth, or The Roth Band, or just simply Diamond Dave and his band!

Oh let the fucking cry fest begin!
I know let me send a nasty resignation letter. Quit, not care about the band for years until my golf course goes bankrupt. Then bitch and moan to the fans when I can't get back in. Cry some more, talk more shit about EVERYONE.
Now cry because I finally reached out (probably through lawyers) and they don't want me at the 50th.
So let me manipulate the people that I know for a fact read Blabber because I know that this will be picked up by them , and go on and get their sympathy and outrage to feel better about myself and make everyone hate JP. And hurt the brand I want back into.

It's truly a weird situation. I don't remember seeing or hearing anything from the JP camp that ruled out a KK return for the anniversary shows, in fact the only thing I remember JP saying is that it hasn't been ruled out. The only person bitching that it's not going to happen is KK and he's doing it every chance he gets. I understand the idiot interviewers are feeding the shark here and KK is only taking advantage of that but it appears to be a completely one sided fight. Like every fight KK has taken up in the media and in his book he seems to be the only one actually fighting.

I don't blame JP is they don't invite him back for some shows (although I still think they will) but until they release any kind of press statement about it then I can't see this shit as anything more than KK trying to rally the troops. I'm sure it makes him feel validated to see people on the internet stand up for him, (and I bet he check Blabber daily), he's been out of the news so long and the same people kissing his butt right now weren't doing so a few years ago, but until he realises he's the only one fighting, or proves that the other side is actually doing something, he just looks like a fool.

I do find it interesting now that more and more commentors are bringing up KK's past and his fighting, it seems like the tides have changed quite a bit in comment land recently.

And on the subject of enormous egos.

$2 mill per show for Crue to play a gig? What a joke. I'm sure they will get it in some places because too many fans new and old think these guys are still something special but shit what an asking price.
Interesting breakdown of payments too. I realise Poison aren't the draw card they once were but it's a full reunion after a number of years, surely they are worth something closer to what Def Leppard are worth.

I think JP should release KK's second - I quit - hissy fit letter. :tickled:

That's ridiculous. Almost $3 million a show? Just for them? Where do they think that money is going to come from?! On the subject of Poison. As far as I know they really only had female fans where as the other two appealed to both. So I can see them getting a good deal less. Especially with Def being in the oh so prestigious R&H of fame now..
Frankly $250 K is still too much for Poison :tickled:

Then get a hologram of him on stage :)

I really think KK is baiting them into comment, he's got bugger all going the way he wants it to and it leaves him with nothing else other than to hit the media. If he just did a whiny story about how bored he is he'd get no sympathy (except from his love children). But if he keeps taking little digs at JP he makes his comments somewhat valid. I'm sure JP could retaliate in a number of ways and some of those ways might even shut up some of the idiots who think KK is the victim, but the band is taking the higher road and not playing his game. They are selling out arenas and events nearly wherever they go and even if they are smaller crowds than they might once have played they are still winning.

Rumour is one of the radio stations or something offered the band $150 mill to reform, not sure if that's true but obviously their egos know how much they can get. What they are worth is another thing. :) Although considering GNR's Not In This LIfetime tour which has been going for god knows how long has grossed $585 Mill I guess there is money in nostalgia.

I don't think Poison are worth anywhere near what Motley are but there is a hell of a difference between 2mill and 250K. To me $250K when Motley want $2mill is an insult to any band.

Interestingly enough in 1994 when GNR toured Illusions here they demanded $1mill a gig. It was the reason they only got to do two gigs, both outdoors, both at venues out of the city (like Woodstock rather than an arena) and they were universally canned. If they'd have done arenas in each city they have easily sold out 5, possibly as many as 10 shows given what other bands were doing at the time, but their management could only be talked into a million a show to travel this far.

KK is like the obsessed bitch ex girlfriend who say horrible shit and gets even madder when she's ignored and can't understand why.

Yeah that about sums it up. I see Ritchie Faulkner broke his silence on Twitter. It's nothing startling, only saying that it's not up to him, but I get the impression he's only saying it because he doesn't want to be the one people blame.

Well played :P

I can understand his stance. I wouldn't want KK's rabid fans blaming me for the shit fight either. Geez some of them are so stupid it would take a sledge hammer to the head to beat the story into them.

Oh yeah, substitute Trump, Putin, our fuckwit ScoMo or just about any other leader into the story and it's really no different to any of the political horse shit that goes on every other day.
