Classics Reborn

From what I understand it wouldn't be something an American would like. Apparently American pizzas are different to Aussie pizzas. I know generally the size of slices in America is larger but I don't really know what other differences there are, just that American's always seem to tell us our pizzas are shit. I think ours are closer to Italian style, if that's a thing, than they are American.

Yeah I don't know. I'm not big on pizza in the first place but I also haven't tried that many pizzas to know of a difference. In this country we have (or at least had) Pizza Hut, but these days most pizza shops are little more than fast food, wait more than 10 minutes for a meal and it's free type places. Pizza restaurants are a bit different, I believe, because they have larger varieties and often have speciality pizzas from different countries. We are going to a pizza restaurant tomorrow night so maybe my eyes will be opened. :)

Actually to show how little I know about pizza there was a huge online, social media, shit fight here 12 or 18 months ago where people were divided as to whether a pizza should have pineapple on it. While I'm not a pizza expert I always though pineapple on a pizza was normal, especially on a ham and pineapple pizza. But apparently not, apparently only weirdos, morons, lepers and idiots have pineapple according to the findings.

Pizza huts are having a very rough time here. They keep closing them by the dozens. I like them, sometimes too much lol. But here they are pretty much considered fast food pizza. Mom and Pop pizza shops here actually do pretty well. Which is almost the opposite of everything else.

Yeah I agree, the last time I thought of pineapple on pizza being weird was the early 80's. I don't ever get a Hawaiian pizza (ham/pineapple) but they are as common as cheese and pepperoni at this point.
People have way too much time on their hands! You know things aren't that bad when that's what people spend their time arguing about.

Once upon a time Pizza Hut's thrived here, but I think too many chain pizza stores beat them as people stopped dining in and wanted pizza at 3am when they got the munchies. There might still be some around but I don't know of any. We have the family run stores which do focus on take away but also focus heavily on dinning in but the families come from so many varied places I think every country in the world invented pizza :)

We occasionally get frozen pizza's for the kids ($3 as against $12-20 takeaway it's a no brainer) and ham and pineapple is one pretty much every kids eats until they develop better tastes. My kids are moving more into the pepperoni and other flavoured ones, but when it made that news that pineapple on pizzas was wrong I was shocked, it made me want to go and buy one just for the sake of it :)

You know it's even worse when the news starts reporting on it!!

You know I've actually heard of people online trying to be snotty about how people eat hot dogs. Hot dogs! People are fucking ridiculous.

So what? They couldn't fit Chuck in unless he kneeled? Or he lost the bet?

Haha, he's propped up a little bit but he's still more than half their height so I like the idea that they made him kneel to fit in the shot.

If these people were serious they'd pick on something like a roast beef dinner. Do you eat the meat first, the vegies first, mix everything, one thing at a time. The possibilities are huge and the arguments could go forever, but instead they want to talk about a fucking hotdog. These people are so limited!
