Classics Reborn

He can work it alright. It's one of the few bio's I would recommend to everyone. Not because it's a real account of life in the rock and roll world but because it's bloody hilarious. The only thing missing from the book is the chapter where he tells everyone how he invented the world.

I probably know more VH songs by sound than I do by name, they just weren't a band I got into heavily. I have 5150 and 1984 on cassette but my brother owns more of their stuff than I do.

Must be good living in Devin Townsend's head too. There was an article the other day with him saying he has 4 different concept albums in different areas of planning. I was reading the story of Ziltoid yesterday (in more depth than I have ever bothered too) and I'm certain his head is a messy place.

I really like the processes the guy goes into to write albums. I may not like everything he does but the way he does it is brilliant. Must be good to be rich enough to not have such constraints as time frames and people telling him what to do.

I think that's just his nature. He talks about himself the same way. I'd love to be able to afford all that time to have different personalities but apparently us normal people aren't allowed to have more than one.

I kind of agree with Dee here, constant reunion tours are a bit disrespectful to the fans who paid for the 'final' show. I also understand that music is a business and any band offered a good sum of money to come out of retirement probably will. But I also can't get past the thought that what Dee says about not making a TS reunion is because things in the band were not as rosy as he'd like to suggest they were and that the rest of the band (those still alive) wouldn't agree to such a reunion.

I used to like watching TS, their show was as theatrical as it was musical but I think have been well past their prime for a while and they probably should have given up before they did. Maybe giving up wouldn't have left them with the bad blood they have, maybe it would of but either way I think they outlived the icon that was TS.

Even though there has only been a short snippet of Dee's new project released I'm more interested in hearing where that goes before I'd pick up another TS album.

Yeah what's his face..the guitar player founder. Said no more.
I'm pretty interested in Dee's new project too.

I've heard the audio of this before but never seen the video.
I see BD in the news again talking about the Three Tremors. I know he's got a book to sell at the moment and he's popping up all over the place with headlines that refer to other stories in his books but I kind of agree with his thoughts about RJD being more suited to something like the Three Tremors than Tate.

Ozzy's doing one more world tour and then quitting big tours. I know plenty of people are still a bit butt hurt because he called the Live and Loud tour 20 years ago his final tour but maybe when he gives up the big tours in 2019 they will finally be able to sit down.

Listening to Sons Of Apollo. There is some reasonable stuff on it and it might take a few listens to get into it but it's not what I expected. The lead singer sounds like Paul Stanley in quiet a few of the versus.

Yeah that's how I found the video. I don't understand. If Bruce wanted Ronnie how does Maidens manager say no? Can't Bruce do what he wants? He's Bruce Dickinson for gods sake.

Not sure why they would be butt hurt if they are Ozzy fans. They should be happy he kept going. I am, even if I'm not crazy about his albums since Ozzmosis. Plus I wasn't allowed to even go to the show when it came around lol

Yeah I'm not sure how that all works. I know record companies can deny musicians appearing with other bands on other labels (dependant on contracts) but I wouldn't have thought the manager had the same control, or really why he'd want to.

It's the social media way. When I first saw the article on Blabber there was five comments and three of them were whinging that he said he was retiring 20 years ago. It happens in nearly every piece on him. As sure as Sebbie Bach gets the "you're a shit singer" Ozzy gets "you said you'd retire" comments.

I've always remembered Zakk's line in the Live and Loud video where he said something about Ozzy being right calling it the farewell tour because he was out of there. I remember thinking at the time Ozzy couldn't retire despite saying he was but apparently some people still can't accept that he didn't.
