Classics Reborn

Doro confirmed in a recent interview that some of the latest Warlock Anniversary shows have been recorded for release. No date yet but with her new album coming out in a few months I guess it gives her time to do something sooner rather than later.

Yeah I'm not sure what her 'anthems' are. She seemed to suggest that a song like "All We Are" is an anthem, if that's the case I'm all for it, but there has been a few songs in her career that have been powerful music but lacked any substance, if those are the sort of anthems she is talking about I'm not so keen for the album.

There must be a shit load of undiscovered Zepp videos out there.

My cuz constantly links to newly videos of bands from the 60's and 70's like this that people are finding and now deciding to post online. There is some amazing shit out there stored in boxes.

As an aside to Maiden I don't mind this, but I wouldn't want to see Harris give up Maiden for it.

I think both Bravewords and Blabber might have extended to the facts a little bit with how popular/influential they really were. The article kind of reads like it's come out of the record company PR department but thirty years ago it was some good stuff.

I didn't have their 1978 effort but I did have Death Or Glory and my cuz had Stronger Than Evil

I was never a huge fan of VH. Songs like Jump and Dreams are classic songs and deserve the credit they get, Eddie can play that lump of wood he holds and Diamond Dave was definitely a showman but other than their singles I don't think I could name many of their songs.

Talks of a VH reunion should have died with Brendon Fraiser and Airheads!

I could go a reunion of Eat 'Em And Smile and Skyscraper, although I haven't seen Dave perform for a while I wonder if he can still do the flamboyance?

Dave's Bio is probably the best work of fiction I have ever read!

Van Halen was huge with me as a kid and still was a favorite into my teens. I was 9 in 1984 so that's probably how I was transitioned over so easily when Roth left. Also some of Sammy's solo stuff are some of my first musical memories that aren't awful lol
