Yeah especially since it wasn't even a Maiden project. And I'm not gonna pretend I know the ins and outs of the bizz. But you're dealing with pretty big names. I wouldn't think that any of their respective record labels would want to piss them off. To me it seems like it would shooting yourself in the foot.
Just not sure why Bruce would accept no when it was something he really wanted to do and apparently there was plenty of interest with promoters.

It's the social media way. When I first saw the article on Blabber there was five comments and three of them were whinging that he said he was retiring 20 years ago. It happens in nearly every piece on him. As sure as Sebbie Bach gets the "you're a shit singer" Ozzy gets "you said you'd retire" comments.

I've always remembered Zakk's line in the Live and Loud video where he said something about Ozzy being right calling it the farewell tour because he was out of there. I remember thinking at the time Ozzy couldn't retire despite saying he was but apparently some people still can't accept that he didn't.

I read some of those comments too. I don't get actual metal heads sitting around bashing metal lol Especially Ozzy who's given us so much. Fuck those bitches.

I know there has been plenty of times over the years where musos haven't even been allowed to do guess appearances on some albums due to conflicting labels but the only reason I can think of for a manager to get the final say would be because he/she doesn't believe the payment figures are right. I guess we'll never know the real reason and I wonder if BD's book has more information. He's been quoted as saying some pretty strange things lately seems odd to say this about the Three Tremors but not give full details.

Sometimes the comments are better than the article, but I agree. It's like when someone gets replaced in a band and 5 years on comments on social media are still "XX was better" "Bring back XX" Some people just struggle to let go.

Seems like every person who has ever been in the same room as Dio was needs to have their opinions down on what the guy would and wouldn't like in relation to how his name, image, and anything else is used since he died.
