Classics Reborn

Mine are all good. We've had so few cases in this area that it's never really been a health threat to us. Obviously we've had to fit in with lockdowns and restrictions, masks and vaccines, etc but none of it has really been too hard for us. The kids generally don't like home schooling but like being home. and even with all the fuck ups the schools have made both kids are getting commendations on their work and their efforts. Last year when it was all new to us our eldest didn't fair too well, she did great at school but was suffering mentally. That's changed this year and she's in the top 5% of her year level for her first year in high school. My missus likes not having to get ready for work but hates working from home, closed in one of the kids room on the phone all day while trying to negotiate system crashes and phone calls from morons. But really it's all just an inconvenience to us, we haven't lost jobs, none of the family have been sick and we were pretty much home bodies before all this.

How's your health going?

Glad to hear You and your family have weathered it all and are good health, the mental toll is something that’s very scary as well especially for the children.

I have good days and bad,the neuropathy in my feet is pretty awful because of the diabetes but trying to stay positive and active!

Did they say if you'll be able to get rid of the diabetes? I don't know much about it if it's hereditary.

What really shits me is that the governments here are only now starting to accept that there is a mental toll for all these lockdowns. I accept that lockdowns have worked and may have been necessary, but to only accept now that people losing their jobs, losing their houses, losing everything and kids struggling with not being able to be educated, or be with their friends, or just be outside are going to suffer mentally is beyond any naivety our governments have ever shown.

Does the neuropathy stop you walking or just make it painful? Many say staying positive is one of the best drugs you can have.

Yeah for sure. It's kind of bizarre that it's taking them so long to come to grips with that.

Apparently we don't have the medical professionals to help it anyway. There was a thing on the news last night saying because so many have quit an over worked and under funded system there is a lack of doctors for doctors to see when they need help. So without the doctors getting help they can't give help. It's like a big circle of failure that no one at the top can see and while they can't see it they don't have to fix it!

Maybe in time,my blood sugar numbers are under control for the most part and as of right now still on a heavy dosage of insulin and meds for it and the heart.

Just painful mostly at night.During the day it’s not as bad just prevalent due to the poor circulation.

I have poor circulation in my feet too, I also walk on the outside of my foot (i.e. wear out the outside of my shoes quicker than the inside). Getting old sucks :)
