It might have been. I don't know when Jay Leno came along. But I know we had Letterman, we had several locals try to recreate a show similar to Letterman but I don't remember when we started to get different ones from the US.

I don't remember exactly either. I know there was this whole thing where everyone thought Letterman was the natural takeover and then Jay kinda came out of nowhere and got it. Yeah we went thru a lot. I think Morton Downey Jr was my favorite. That guy was animal.

When we started to get more channels here I couldn't believe how many "letterman" like shows you had. I know there was slightly different names like The Late Show and the Late Late Show etc but half the names I didn't even recognise. I don't think that's changed over the last 20 years either.

Yeah it is crazy. And I only know a couple of them. I really have no idea why we have so many. Honestly I think it's only gotten worse!

I think we've just found Scott and Charlie's new idols.
No new songs, the same tired set with a few classic hits, not sure on the 100,000 people bit but everyone is allowed to dream.

Awe that's a bit unfair, the guy had hit in the mid 80's! Do you really want to pass off all that genuine knowledge and experience?
