Going by the left hand edge it looks like a backdrop of some kind because the black edge isn't straight and looks material.

Yeah simply being 16 in that highly toxic environment would not have been good. But I also couldn't see Jeff fitting in with Mustaine, they might we be friends now but I don't think that would have been the case if he'd been in the band 30 odd years ago.
There is a few version of this, I think it popped up when Sebbie was bitching and moaning about SR not listening to him and how he'd bury the hatchet for the sake of the fans.

Yeah that's true. Apparently Mustaine told him he was going to be a great player and in demand (or something like that) so Mustiane recognised his talent. Thankfully he also recognised how toxic the situation would have been for a 16 yr old.
Yeah for sure. Just knowing that Jeff got himself into a pretty bad way with alcohol in Nevermore years later. Being around a bunch of addicts at 16 could have easily ended up a tragedy.

Well you'd have to say that none of the band at time would have been in any fit state to save him if something happened while high. They couldn't save themselves, and in most cases didn't until years after.
