Classics Reborn

Yeah I'm not sure, I remember he released a statement a few weeks after the diagnosis that he didn't need to quit if he followed doctors orders so it could be as simple as some ear plugs of some sort.

Yeah I seem to remember something like that, I also seem to remember him saying there was no reason to AC/DC to replace him permanently.

Are you up early or up extra late? Isn't it some stupid hour of the morning over there now?

During the week I tell the time by whether I'm picking the kids up from school or dropping them off. During the weekend I tell time by the number of coffees I've had :)

With the rise in micro brewerys and flavoured beer yeah they probably do :)
But no we aussies don't drink that shit, we export it to the world so we don't have to drink it.
Fosters has for about forty years been "Australia's number 1 beer" but I don't think it's every actually been the number 1 consumed beer in this country.

Funny thing is that ad has never been used in Australia. In fact we don't even have Fosters ads here, the only time we see something with Fosters on it is at things like the F1GP or the Sueprbikes where Fosters has international contracts. All our internal sports are sponsored by other beers.

I think the only Aussies who actually drink Fosters as those who are overseas because they can't get the decent stuff :)

aww shit! Back in the day Neptune nailing Fosters! :headbang: Those cans are awesome!

Don't know if America used to have steel beer cans but back in the 80's (and before), Fosters especially came in steel cans. We used to recycle aluminium cans but to get more in the bag we squashed them. Those steel cans were a real bastard to crush and they'd shoot out from under your foot like a rocket!

I don't think we've seen cans like that here for 30+ years. I'm sure aluminium replaced steel in the early 80's then there was a major advertising campaign in the late 80's that went something like "beer tastes better in glass" and people almost stopped buying cans and went back to the "stubbie" so much so stubbiie became a sought after trademark, but I don't think either company got the rights to it.

Both those names are still popular exports from two rival companies both now owned by the Japanese (I think). Tooheys is more widely drunk here than Fosters but both CUB (Fosters) and Nathan Lion (Tooheys) have multiple products that sell in much large numbers locally than what is exported.
