I pretty much gave up on band specific forums. I think I'm still a member of the BLS forum and maybe the Megadeth forum. It's either hate or love and nothing in between. At least on a broad forum there is still wankers but you can essentially avoid the threads they are in.

The best part of the fight picking was that he originally denied it was him when it was pointed out that it couldn't have been anyone else. It's worse than I remember school yard shit fights ever were

I also loved the shit canning Skid Row tired to dish out, saying how great they are without Bach and that they are playing more gigs to more people so there is no way they'd want him back and it's all him dreaming about the reunion and not them. Yet even Skid Row aren't ripping it up too much on stage and from the videos I've seen the crowds for Skid Row are pretty darn small these days.

If you weren't a Megafan club member you're not a member anymore lol I was for years but they closed the forums right after Dystopia came out. The only forums now are for Megafans and that's like $50 a year? My pass isn't recognized It's bullshit.

Lol yeah Skid Row is over and has been how they don't know it I don't know.

Actually I think I remember reading about them going paid for only. I remember signing up to Megadeth Arizona when they first launched the site. From memory Meagdeth were one of the first metal bands to even have a website. By 90's standards Megadeth Arizona was pretty darn good.

I understand that those left in SR want to talk up the band but the gig I saw on Youtube the other day was terrible, the new singer really is a bad fit for the old songs.

It's a pity they've made their mark on so many less that great things but I guess that was always going to happen. There was no way in the world that the Metallica/Megadeth feud was ever going to end in the media whether the two band kissed and made up or not. Even if both bands broke up and retired there would still be some story about new proof X did something to Y. In some ways I can't blame Dave for diverting some of the heat away from that feud into something else, but at the same time he didn't need to start all the shit he has over the years.

HA! Dave Mustaine damns you if you do And damns you if you don't! I had a friend years back who loved Metallica so much that he would just refuse to listen to anything. And I hung out with him the most. So when I was home I would jam my Megadeth and laugh at the idiot who was missing out.
I loved Metallica back then too, but I wasn't about to pass up obvious awesomeness.

I can't wait for the Dave Mustaine/Metallica reunion, the new album and the tour.

(It hasn't been announced but if the rumour gets enough momentum the media will pick up and think it' true)

I hadn't heard that but my first reaction is no way lol. I don't see Metallica doing it, they'll say something like. It'd be really cool, but Meatallica isn't a band that goes backwards...kind of like what Dave says when he's asked about old members.....argh! full circle!

Aahhh but see it's all in the way one sells it. One only has to make it believable enough to get a site like Metal Injection to believe it and then next week it will be the next big news.

Speaking of classics reborn, I see Zakk is open to recording another album with Ozzy. I realise given that Zakk is going on tour with Oz that any journo could have made that up but I'd still like to see it.

Did you see Zakk cooking his burgers for some internet cooking show about 12 months ago? I don't remember the show but quiet a few metal musos have done it and Zakk was one of the first. His burgers looked pretty darn good.

I have mixed feelings about another album with Zakk. I mean he rules I've been a big fan since Ozzy first got him. But I also got really tired of him in the last decade or so. He's a really predictable player. And the way he does the old solos now is just...there's so many pinch harmonics the solo is barely recognizable.
Zakk certainly kept Ozzy current through the 80's and 90's. But I'd really like to see Holmes do an album with Ozzy.

I'm glad Dave agrees to that because I read that Nicko said the same thing a few months back...I wonder if the rest of the band agree or if Maiden will just go out as a two piece

Yeah I bet they all have at least two more albums in them. Except maybe Nicko. but who knows. A world without Maiden stomping around would be real weird!
