Classics Reborn

Baby Animals were an Aussie pub band but they shook the foundations of more than one pub I saw them in and Suze had a set of pipes like very few others. She can still sing but I still blame Nuno for ruining her.

Damn that nuno!

He plays a guitar better than I ever will and on some of the early Extreme stuff there was some reasonable shredding but there is not much else good that can be said of the guy.

I think it's a pity that the mainstream really only knows of the later Extreme stuff. Their self titled album which really was 'chicks with dicks' kind of album was a heap better than their later stuff that charted in the top 40. It does suffer a bit from time if you listen to it today and singing songs about not wanting to go to school is like hearing Sebastian Back try and relate to being a Youth Gone Wild, but there was some good songs there for the day.

Yeah if there was a point in time you could say it all went down hill it would have to be that point.

When was the last? Probably not if I have to ask that question. I still listen to a lot of hard rock and chicks with dicks stuff but there are still quite a few bands from that era I don't keep up with. Extreme, L7, Skid Row, Ugly Kid Joe etc, I'll listen to their old stuff on and off but am usually surprised when I see they have a new album out.

Nah I think I missed it. But that's not surprising, L7 toured here not long back and I was more shocked that they were still playing than I was to see people still liked them.

Yeah so had I, but I must be getting old because I'm looking less forward to reunions these days.

I'm not their biggest fan but seeing the videos of Poison, Def Leppard and the like who I did once listen to quite a bit back on stage doesn't make me want to rush out and see them. I know some of it is bad fan footage which makes the videos less enjoyable but seeing them today isn't the same. Vince Neil is on that list too. I just couldn't being myself to see their farewell tour because they just aren't Motley to me any more. Sebastian Bach is touring here in a few months I don't think I could see him if I got free tickets.

Vince is really bad. He's just not even trying on any level at all. But I think Sebastian is hit or miss...which isn't the best endorsement but it's better than Vince Niels lol

I know I've said before that the media is a big part of the problem with the shit that goes on between musos but the fight that Sebbie started with readers on the Metal Injection website was hilarious. Again both sides were as bad as each other but it was still a great read.

Actually it might have been on Blabbermouth, I don't read MI that much any more.

It's not even sad to see him go that way, it's quite funny. I don't take anything away from what he once was but to carry on like that and still have the balls to claim it's all the fault of the website is hilarious. Most forums/social media sites have a few major dick heads who want to be right, think they know everything and can out comment every other person with their immature insults, but it's usually fans both trying to win some imaginary pissing contest over their favourite singer/band not the bloody singer actually inciting it.

Agree completely. What's funny is the Queensryche forum has way more than it's fair share off people like that.
It blew my mind lol but there are a few arrogant assholes on that board.

I can't take away what he was either. But man talk about childish! " I'm gonna kick your ass!" Meet me here so we can fight!
LOL it's pathetic. Then he says a few months ago there was talk of a Skid Row reunion but he doesn't now what happened.
I'm pretty sure that that lines up with him berating 80 something William Shatner and saying he was gonna kick his ass.
Yeah big mystery lol
