Classics Reborn

That would be great. Get him up there put the spotlight on him, let him play his thirty second whammy bar solo and then let Richie smoke him. Just deserts.

He talks so much shit they had to spread it out for him! lol

Yeah that is very odd, splitting the fan base or potentially splitting it is absolutely not good for business. I don't know any company that would tolerate it and not try and boot him . Maybe KK doesn't care because he's sold his rights anyway. I mean , clearly he doesn't care about any potential damage.

To some degree I think the fan base was already split. There was a lot of people that said JP had to stop when KK left, less said it when Rob left but I think it's a lot of those KK fans that are popping up from the woodwork now with blind support for the guy.

The band are on tour at the moment so I'm not sure how many board meetings happen but I can imagine them being pretty icy if KK shows up. Be even icy if he sent his manager in place of him because he couldn't face the shit castle he was building :)

Ah ok. I thought maybe it was one they hadn't played in decades. And then of course Richie wouldn't have it down perfectly.

In some ways saying Ritchie can't play his parts in one particular song is probably the least stupid thing the guy has said. There are certain parts of most guitarist that people either don't copy or can't copy. I'd imagine Ritchie wouldn't want to play the solos and stuff from a song KK deemed his own for 20 years note for note, same could go for other parts of the song. So while it's still a bit of a dick move I think it's probably the least dickish move the guy has done and he's just spoilt us with over the top dick moves lately.

Because they like being abused :)

If this isn't some really poor act that's been set up I really am starting to feel sorry for KK, I think he needs help.

Yeah you might be right, he could be right around the bend and a mile up the street by now. I think he might be trying to get the insane vote, like a criminal pleading insanity to get a lesser sentence.

I wonder how sales of his book will be. I understand the marketing gurus these days seem to like creating a bit of controversy to sell something but I think KK might have gone a bit beyond creating a little hype.

I'm sure everyone is getting to the point where they don't like it.
But you're right it's not just about today and what he does (which I'm sure will contradict what he did yesterday), it's also about how badly he is tainting his own history.

Wow! In the latest edition of KK the Marvellous he actually takes responsibility for something.

I still think it's amazing that his choice after dumping a failing golf club was to off load a revenue stream worth (in the words of the article) $340000 - $400000 a year. Choosing to sell an income stream that offers that kind of return every year for doing nothing seems like the worst business decision ever. I understand selling off assets but not an income stream. It's like quitting work to pay the house mortgage.

Change "made some rubbish business decisions" to "making some rubbish business decisions"
