Classics Reborn

When he finally goes broke because he quits the JP board, realises he's sold his only income stream and has to sell his multi-million pound property to finance his retirement home it will be JP's fault for not giving him writing credits on the songs they produced since he left the band :)

Yeah but how would that look in the press when they report that he's getting 75% of songs he didn't write. KK is a fair man I'm sure he'll accept 50% of those songs!

Haha this guy really is entertainment. From what I read the fans wished he didn't retire in the first place and because the announcement was so sudden and with no reason they were worried for his health. They gave him all that support back then and he walked away from it. I didn't see the out pouring of fan support to have him back in the fold, the support was for Glen who'd done a great job and was semi retiring because he was sick.

But the best bit is that he 'thinks' they were on speaking terms when Glenn quit. Seriously? He's on the fucking board and he wants to keep reminding people of that. If you're on the board of the company you know what the hell is going on, otherwise you are the janitor who cleans the boardroom and thinks he's part of the team!

You fucking quit! That's why! You fucking dip shit. With not one but two retirement letters, the second of which being bitchy!

He "thinks" he was on speaking terms? What the fuck. Lol. he did a press release because people asked him to. Yeah, ok.

He's really trying to get the fans on his side. Like it's the KK lovers that control Priest. Like the new album isn't extremely well received. Nobody cared until he started whining like a fucking asshole. This guy has talked more shit than anyone I've ever seen since the whole Axl, Vince Neil BS.

You're absolutely right. He's on the board, he knew what was coming. He should have spoken up! But like the last 40 years he kept his mouth shut so he could bitch later. And he's already said multiple times he probably wouldn't have come back! He just wanted to be asked. Which is a bullshit baby position to take.

They didn't misconstrue what he said. He back peddled.

He says if you fall out with your girlfriend and it's not reconciled fairly quickly somebody could find a new partner and get used to it. It's sad. So he did want them to crawl back to him. No KK! we're sorry! we see the error of our ways! Come back!!!
Fuck this guy.

Yeah I think he's back peddling a bit now. As much as he still seems incapable of admitting he has been a fuckwit and said stupid things, I think he's realised that he's not doing himself favours so now it's time to pull back and try to make some amends.

He's not hurting JP's sales figures, they are touring and all reports suggest the shows are hugely popular and the albums are still selling (selling enough to have giving him over 300000 pounds a year). All he's doing is hurting his own sales because people are reading his shit on line (some of which Blabber and the like are feeding by posting such shit every day), and now they are turning away from the book thinking it will be more of the same.

I was prepare to give his book a go once, thought it might be like so many other muso bios I've read, a bit of shit, a bit of history, something to read for a few hours. But I wont even buy this shit now if I see it in the throw out bin for $2.

I don't know what would be considered a fail these days but I reckon he'll still sell quite well, maybe not Bruce Dickinson well but Scott Ian well. He's been around 50 years there will be a lot of people still interested in the story he's got to tell. However I think it probably would have sold more if he'd kept his mouth shut.

No he doesn't. It is a small mercy that he's sold his rights to the songs. But I bet he draws a good wage from the board.

Oh no I hope he doesn't use it as a chance to kick KK, or to make it some gay rights thing. It's another bio I would more than likely pick up but if it's going to be a book of pay back or stories about how hard it is to be a gay man in metal then I'm not interested. My only hope is that when he was here with Fight back in about 94 he wasn't bitchy and whiny after the show.

Hehe one of the quotes from the article (which was from an old interview)

In a 2014 interview Halford was asked how the guys in JUDAS PRIEST maintain their privacy in the age of the Internet and social media, when everything is out there now. "It's a very good question, and it's basically trust and respect for each," Halford replied.
Four years on and KK's prove how much that respect works.

Wow both AC/DC's The Razor's Edge and Megadeth's RIP were released on the same day 28 years ago.

Steve Harris' British Lion was also on this day 6 years ago. A lot less Maiden but I still didn't mind that album.
