Classics Reborn

Haha they all look a little like posers with they are in the groove.

Chuck looks like a teenager, he definitely grew into his hair.

How dare you sir!

Nah it's not really an insult. A lot of the bands looked less like thrash and more like posers back then. They weren't hair metal posers but if you look at some of those moves near the start of the song and a little more hairspray, a little more make up and they could have done it.

Who had hairspray?

My bet is they all did in the 80's, but in the first minute or so of that clip either side of where they talk to Alex the first time those boys may not be the chicks with dicks that littered they LA scene but they are definitely posing for the camera in the way that they move

Hmmmmm. I think they were just really young. Skolnick may have had a little curl going but his bangs are so short it may look like hairspray. :)

I'm going with 80's hairspray, especially in film clips where everything has to be perfect in the eyes of more than just the band.

Could be the director or label made them do something. But I've been asked about hairspray in my teenage years. Especially when I was growing my bangs out. My hair just didn't like humidity lol. I've also had people think it was a wig lol

I don't think it was a daily routine like many of the hair metal bands chose but some of the 80's film clips everything was too perfect. When videos really started to become a production rather than just pictures to a song I think many 'hollywood' tricks became the norm. Shit like the fast cutaways, the overlays, the film splicing, directional lighting and other such things were added to 'improve' the image so I would reckon the producers brought make up and hair spray along with all those things.

I do know that when my cuz asked his mum, who is a hair dresser, for hair like the 80's thrash bands he grew up with she always reached for the hairspray after the scissors.
