EDIT:
Wasn't happy with the drums, so I repaired them to my liking. Also mixed in a couple of additional rhythm guitar tracks using orange/modern on the amplifier(which were mic'd with an SM7B), just for kicks. Also had a bit of fun with the solo :D

Also, please note the link below has changed.

----------------------------------------------------

Guitar is an RG7420 (Dimarzio invader bridge and factory neck pickups) straight into the amp. I mic'd with an MD421 and the pre is a DMP3. It's not a full song, but it's snippets of the different parts.

The solo was recorded using a Marshall 1960A with 2 Vintage 30's and 2 Governors. I stuck an MD421 on one of the Governers and went at it.

Sounds nice and full when it kicks in. I think there is maybe to much gain though. It just has a fizz that is bugging me. Maybe lowpass some highs off might help. But its a great tone man......

I like it! Makes me even happier that I bought the g flex 212 cab! They are really punchy sounding. I can hear it in your tone.

Thanks for listening guys! I appreciate the comments, most of all those offering constructive criticism. You may want to have another listen, as I've updated the clip as per the edit in the original post.
