Sitting here bored so decided to make my first thread

what is your favourite cover by COB? mine would have to be Bed Of Nails (Alice Cooper) or The Final Countdown

But yeah, i would say Rebel Yell is my fav. though!

There are no Final Countdown, The Trooper, Repent, Iron Steel Metal..... and no Hopeanuoli covers.

I'm not sure what you mean, but bands like Norther and Dispatched has covered the song.

Bang on job, man. Most people don't know CoB haven't recorded any of those cover songs often accredited to them. And if they do, they often think that the Final Countdown is by Norther. But the version mistaken for CoB is by Dispatched, from their Motherwar album, great band/album btw. If you listen to the two verisons (Dispatched's and Norther's) you'll soon see! Fuck, I just said this in another thread, I hate p2p networks with misnamed songs. Get torrenting programs people, can't go wrong.

P.S. The Trooper cover I have that is inccorectly said to be by CoB, according to Wikipedia, is said to actually by Sentenced. I find that strange, cause most songs I've heard by Sentenced, aren't that hard. Like, Killing me Killing you, I wanna be Somebody, I'm Sorry, etc.. Can anyone verify this for me? It's still a greta cover none-the-less.

Ionna, they have so many great covers it's really hard to choose; 'Aces high' 'Shot in in the dark', there's too many.....

.....I can tell you their worst cover. 'Talk Dirty to Me' (Poison cover). I think that's their worst cover, if not their worst song. In my opinion anyways.

Yes it is a great song, the original by IM. The CoB cover is amazing too. Same with Shot in the Dark. The Ozzy version rocks, so does the CoB version. Fuck, same could be said about ALL the songs they've covered.

P.S. One thing to Cradle of Filth's credit, amidst a seas of shit against them, is they did make some FUCKING KILLER Iron Maiden covers. Hallowed by the Name, Fear of the Dark, Powerslave, a few others... I think (For those who died?). Those are AWESOME covers. Too bad they can't actually play or sing them live
