CoB moved up a step in North America?

Hmm looks like after the UA tour, they have definitely moved up. Before they were playing clubs of several hundred people, now looks like they book theaters and clubs of 1000-2000 people. Is it just me, or have they gained enough popularity to move up a step?

EDIT: To make this a more lively discussion, do you think it at all possible maybe 5-10 years from now, they will be big enough to headline in arenas?

If that happens, they would be the first finnish act able to do that in the USA. CoB could become the biggest finnish metal band if they continue touring as much as they do now. I'm afraid the touring will take it's toll, though...

They probably are the most successful metal band. I don't know if you'd class HIM as metal but they're pretty popular too, especially in Finland.

HIM probably goes in the same league as The Rasmus, which is very popular in Germany and here in Finland for example. They are more hard-rock than metal. But Nightwish is big in Europe and South-America, still ain't no Metallica. Pretty creppy if CoB would headline these huge stadiums and arenas at some point :err:

Ye, theyre great, and should probably be classified as the best metal band lately. But aftere i began listening to wintersun, no music is as great as before :erk:

I'd give u rep for that if i could... but instead I'll just say "+1"

and I hope COB never gets as big as metallica... bad things will happen.

 Thank you :) But it's true :D Let them get as big as they want! They're fukcing x98439484309843 better than Shitallica (I like Metallica though ) and they definately ddeserve it!

I would not want them to headline arenas, I prefer club venues cause they are much cheaper and you can get cmuch closer to the band.

im not sure as long as they keep comin back i dont mind where they play lol, they can play in my backyard even if they want to haha :loco: happy holidays to everyone! :headbang: :saint:

:puke: arenas:cry:

and also, they might have had to move to larger venues because of Amon Amarth. The Philly show didn't have Amon on the bill, and I'm sure it didn't sell out,but as soon as Amon joined the tour, the shows sold out*

*i'm almost sure of this, can anyone check?

^Bodom probably was at the top of the list when AYDY first came out. Those albums are ranked pretty high cuz they're new. I'm not really surprised about that. Those bands are more popular than Bodom esp. Killswitch.

Hell yes, they've gotten even more popular! HCDR just got them noticed in the U.S., but AYDY was the one that got them pretty popular. I don't think they'll start doing arenas just yet but maybe after the next two albums they will.
