CoB moved up a step in North America?

I doubt any non-commercial metal band would play arenas. I know Some older bands but popular none the less play them (iron maiden, slayer). But I just dont see Cob playing at those. Unless they got on some bill with a huge band of some sorts. Otherwise what they are at now maybe where they will be for a long time.

^That's for sure. I"m pretty sure the whole world has heard of HIM. Even if people don't like them, their name has been heard unlike COB. I think if COB headlined Ozzfest, they would be even more popular.

That would be scary.

Although I've heard some rumors for who's going to be at next year's Ozzfest, and it sounds pretty good

I won't talk against HIM or The Rasmus because both of those bands have been really important to me (more TR than HIM but anyway...) but I have to say that sadly there are probably more HIM / Rasmus fans on earth than COB fans... though in North America The Rasmus aren't that big.... In The Shadows was more or less a one hit wonder I think... and what's sad about it is that they've got better songs than that one....

But HIM are probably the biggest Finnish band out there, I mean the Finnish band that sells the most records in the world..... COB can't be far behind though. And most HIM fans are Ville Valo fangirls and all think they're gonna marry him... its like COB forum with thousands of Lady Laiho's :|

So if you remove all the fangirls, COB is probably the biggest Finnish band...

I wouldn't have more competition! I'd beat all those girls to Alexi. I'll stay his number one fangirl. I don't really see how HIM has so many fangirls. What' so great about Ville Valo? Alexi's a billion times hotter and cooler and isn't a sissy.

I saw COB live at Long Beach arena in California this summer.
It was Unholy Alliance.
I know that there was Slayer but Long Beach Convenience center is a big arena!
COB was there and a lot of fan were wearing COB T-shirts.
So it means that they are not far away.

I was surprised by the huge ass line to see COB at the wiltern show in l.a. I seriously did not expect to see that many people. I'm the only person I know who likes them...(and im not a loner, i promise). They probably will get big. lets just hope they dont change too much when they do.

They'll probably be like the next Metallica or something. Their style might keep changing and expressing us with every new thing they do.

SexiLAexi: Alexi's mine and your avatar made me think you were Warheart at first.

I'm glad BODom chose Unholy Alliance this year instead of ozzfest.

Normally I wouldn't be bothered, but I was bored so I took a little research and found some information about albums sales of five of Finlands most best-selling hard-rock/metal bands (The Rasmus is not included although I was expecting them on the list).

1. HIM (approx. 4,1 million albums sold)
2. Nightwish (2,5 million)
3. Apocalyptica (2,4 million)
4. Children Of Bodom (810 000)
5. Lordi (380 000)

Worthless information, but if there is somebody interested...
