Stupid Northwestern.

Anyway, that Wisconsin v Minnesota game was awesome. Purdue this weekend. I think it's homecoming too. The badgers usually play well on homecoming. One more win and we're bowl eligible I believe. That's important seeing as how many people said UW wasn't going to make it to a bowl this year.

man, i missed two good NU games.

also, i like how everyone NU beats is ranked but they're not. Penn St only beat them by 5 pts, and NU really could've won had they not defeated themselves. they led most of the game iirc. looking at Michigan St on saturday, espn2. should be a good game since they both seem to have dece offenses.

Huge game this weekend. Wisconsin v. Penn State. The victor may very well be the Big Ten champs. We're 11.5 dogs for some reason. That's total crap. If you're a bettting man take Wisconsin. We may not win, but to lose by 11.5 aint going to happen.

And on a related note, stupid Northwestern. Wisconsin could be 9-0 right now.

haha. well, penn st only beat NU by 6 pts and NU pretty much gave it to them in penalties. that michigan game last weekend was bad though. and on prime time espn, no less. NU knows how to shoot themselves in the butt real good. should be able to do a bowl game if they win a couple more, though. i just want them to beat Ohio St.

that WI Penn game should be really good though.

man, the last 3 minutes of that NU/Iowa game were awesome. 27-14 Iowa with 3 minutes left begin celebrating after basanez throws 2 interceptions in a row; then NU get a TD, onside kickoff and gain possession, get another TD, kickoff and hold Iowa on 3rd/4th downs at the NU 40+ yard line. amazing.

I love Basanez, I would sell all my draft picks for the opportunity to draft him next year. He just finds ways to win. Running, passing, playing hurt (dislocated his throwing shoulder, didn't miss a start), he'd play defense if they would let him. All around winner, what's sad is he will be a late draft based on his measurables (weak arm, short stature, system QB). You know who had a strong arm, was very tall and solid, and the product of a pro-style offense? Ryan Leaf. But Basanez will always be called a risk, so even if he gets drafted and wins games, he'll get treated like Brees was last year for his whole career. Constantly drafting more high priced blue chip backups.

Brees was crap for two years as a starter, don't discount that. Tommy Maddox had one good season in Pittsburg, Mark Rypien won a Superbowl for christ sake on a single good season. The guy has a completion percentage of 56% for his career. Brees could have been a fluke and if I was a GM I would have done the same thing. And honestly, Rivers could very well be the real deal, at the very least he is not Ryan Leaf, he has his priorities straight and can't wait to be on the field and studies accordingly.
