College Football!!!!

Entirely possible because everyone insists that the SEC is the toughest conference in football and a one loss team from the SEC is better than an undefeated Big East team, which is the biggest load of horse shit I've ever heard. If they beat Louisville and West Virginia in the same season both of which have been ranked as high as 3 in the polls, how can they be ignored? Bah, fuck the politics of college football, institute a playoff and be done with it.

i agree that Wisconsin is getting screwed in the polls. Michigan is NOT playing like a #2 team, and shouldn't be ranked as high as they are, but since it's kind of a "romantic" type scenario with two Big Ten teams at #1 & 2 and they happen to squeeze out wins, they're still in there. heck, Northwestern even played relatively decent against MI last week. if we hadn't given up 5 turnovers, it would've been even closer- their defense ran through our offensive line like a porcupine through butter. totally defensive game, their offense sucked.

SEC i know nothing about, but i do know Big Ten is a pretty tough conference this year- or at least one third of it is.

btw, yay we finally won a Big Ten game.

I hope Michigan crushes OSU because it would make the Heisman voting interesting. Right now, its prett clear who is going to win and that is boring.

So Badgers are 10-1 with the only loss being to Michigan. I guess they just aren't good enough to be in the top 10. Screw it all. I hope Rutgers goes undefeated. Not that there hasn't been enough controversy about the BCS crap already, but I want more.

Eh, if rutgers beats WVU and goes undefeated, they will finish the season outside the top 5 unless florida, notre dame, and USC all lose another game as well as arkansas. So, here is the necessary situation:

Cal needs to beat USC, then USC needs to beat Notre Dame, FSU needs to pull a HUGE upset on florida and then arkansas needs to totally blow the SEC championship game to florida. Its possible, plausible even, but its silly that an undefeated team would need that much help to get into the BCS championship after beating two teams that were ranked as high as 3 at separate times during the year. The other thing Rutgers would need to worry about at that point is the viability of the loser of the OSU-Michigan game as a contender. Wouldn't hurt if Wisconsin lost also.

Wisconsin aint even getting a BCS game. But it's pretty dumb when everyone was talking about Louisville and West Virgina playing that game if they were undefeated but if Rutgers beats those two teams and goes undefeated they aren't good enough. Doesn't make sents.

It's circular reasoning, Louisville was good until Rutgers beat them but because they aren't a dynasty team (read: SEC team, Notre Dame, Cal, or USC), no one respects them. If they beat West Virginia also, it will only further prove the weakness of the Big East, because if Rutgers can come out of nowhere and beat you, your team must have not been that good to begin with, regardless of record or quality of play, including the national ranking of your defense (2nd), possession of two eventual first rounders on offense, including a potential darkhorse Heisman candidate (Leonard and Rice), or an undefeated record. However, I won't get too fat ahead of myself. Rutgers still needs to win out, including that game in Morgantown before any of these complaints become legitimate.

Wisconsin should get a look, isn't their one loss to Michigan, with a win over PSU?

Yep, lost to Michigan. The big problem with Wisconsin is their extremely weak non-conference schedule. Also, they weren't supposed to be this good this year so I think all the voters are just assuming the entire big ten sucks except for Michigan and Ohio State. Of course that would mean that those two teams aren't as good either since they haven't played anybody. It's all very confusing and annoying.
