a)I want all the old smilies back.
b)When you quote smt, the message is quoted in italics and the "X posted this:" think appears in normal letters. I liked it the other way around, as it was before.
c)The date and time smt was posted appears inbetween the posts -> rather confusing.
d)I miss the Online/Offline indication of each user as it was before.
Edit: What are the "Hybrid" and "Threaded" options? Neither of them seems to work for me.
Oh, and the option of saving the private messages in a file in your pc is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
i hadn't noticed that one, sounds cool.
a) there's only a few of them missing now, right?
b) guess we'll get used to that one
c) yeah. everything happening between posts now is rather confusing
d) same here. the new options for checking online users are cool, but the highlighted "online" just below the nickname on each post was more immediate.
- linear: all posts in a thread shown from #1 to the last in posting order.
- threaded: all posts in a thread shown as a tree starting from the first and then branching according to who replied to whom in the thread. a bit like this:
- i love my belly-button posted by rahvin, 22-03-03 15:45 cet
- you can't expect people to... posted by |ngenius, 22-03-03 16:01 cet
- i sure can, mister! in fact... posted by rahvin, 22-03-03 16:12 cet
- i think i'm gonna puke posted by RealHazard, 22-03-03 16:04
this means |ngenius replied to my first post and then i replied to him, but realhazard again replied to my
first post in the thread. of course it also means i love my belly button. do you want to see my belly button now? and you have to click on each message to read it. this structure was the one the old dt forum used to have, and admittedly it had some advantages, i.e., it was clearer whom and what you were addressing, even without quotes and @'s.
- hybrid: both structures are shown, the threaded one at the top and then all messages in your standard linear way.
rahvin.
