Love it, but aside from The Oath, and the fact that it's too short, not very metal

My top two have always been side one of Hemispheres by Rush and This Mortal Coil by Redemption. Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche coming in close third tied with Seventh Son of a Seventh Son by Iron Maiden. A Pleasant Shade of Gray by Fates Warning and Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater are fourth and fifth.

Others that make my list but not in any order are:

Tommy by The Who
The Wall by Pink Floyd
Side one of 2112 by Rush
Epica and The Black Halo by Kamelot
Disc two of Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence by Dream Theater

Somehow my favorite albums are concept albums. I think the greatest ones prove their worth in changing your mood and emotions while pulling you through the storyline. With that in mind, not listing much that hasn't already been mentioned, and admitting that the order after the first 3 change according to my :

#1 - Savatage - Streets. My favorite album of all time, concept or otherwise. Runs the gambit of agression, emotional music, amazing song writing, and a decent story. Still the pinnacle of music for me.

What he said :)notworthy) PLUS

* Savatage - DWD, WOM, Poets and Madmen
* Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed, In Search of the Lost Chord, On the Threshold of a Dream, To Our Children's Children's Children, A Question of Balance, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, Seventh Sojurn
* The Who - Tommy - the one that started it all.
