The Metallica discussion of late has prompted me to listen to some Load and ReLoad era stuff. Man I love Prince Charming, one of the best songs from that era.
Prince Charming is fucking AWESOME! Hella big bluesy attitude, love it.
While we're on that subject, here are some lesser known songs from that era that I think are some of Metallica's best songs.
Where The Wild Things Are - the song is so chock full of a creepy atmosphere, I love it to absolute bits. Awesome riffs and great clean guitar.
Fixxxer - I love the build up in the middle just before the last chorus... RENEW OUR FAITH WHICH WAY WE CAN, TO FALL IN LOVE WITH LIFE AGAIN! TO FALL IN LOVE... TO FALL IN LOVE... TO FALL IN LOVE WITH *cue music silence* LIIIIFE AGAIN! So tell me CAN YOU HEAAAL WHAT FATHER'S DONE?
so good.
Wasting my hate - One of the best guitar riffs I've ever heard. Angry fast song from Load... and one that works surprisingly well without a guitar solo!
Low Man's Lyric - Quite possibly my favourite ballad of theirs behind Fade to Black. Beautiful lyrixx and one of the heaviest riffs ever in the middle (just toned down a bit so it doesnt sound as heavy - still gives you the heavy feeling though!). I love it when he finishes the heavy middle bit and then goes straight into "I CRYYYYY TO THE ALLEYWAY!" that bit gives me shivers every time. One of James' best performances and one of the best sounding songs (in terms of production) I have ever heard. That snare drum is godly (and the bass drum)
With the 2 S&M songs - I think they're 2 of James' best lyrical work ever. Also 2 of their best songs. Love 'em to bits.

Now, on to the boobies. I am most definitely a boob man. Bums are where poo comes from. Boobies are the givers of LIFE! Boobies are just so good. I love big boobies. Small boobies are also great, but big boobies are just sooo awesome. Boobies. I love em.
