The format is the problem. I used my computer to record it, but the only program I have that I can use right now is Cakewalk Express. I recorded the keyboard as MIDI and the vocals as audio, and the program supposedly will save mixed-media files as RealMedia files that can be exported to be put on a website or whatever. All other file formats I can choose from only save either the MIDI or the audio individually. But the file type it tells me is supposed to be totally compatible with RealPlayer isn't recognized by anything. I can't even upload it onto my website - Yahoo says the file extension is invalid. And I can't figure out any other way to get the file from Cakewalk intact and compatible with any other program.
I'm not sure if any of that made much sense.
I've now resorted to primitive measures. I recorded it onto a cassette, which I can record onto the computer at the radio station, and from there I should be able to save it into a format that can be uploaded onto my website.
But maybe it's really just me that's incompatible with file types and programs and computers in general.
Huh, that's sounds not very easy.
You should make an audio-track of the midi.
Or you can rename the file for uploading, and everyone who downloads it, has to re-rename it. Would that work?
I fooled around a bit more, and neither of those things seems to work. But you did give my tired mind the idea of rerecording the keyboard part through the audio port, and just ditching the MIDI altogether. I'll see if it works.
Finally got time to d/l your covers! Damn slow connection, took me over 30 minutes hehe. It was worth it of course, love the music sounds close to the original versions. Nightingale cover BLISS! Keep them coming guys, you are all excellent musicians.
