I know everyone has thier favorite songs from their favorite bands. But what about the least fave? I was chatting about this at work with a fellow metalhead and I thought I would share, get some input from others. No one can make several records (or one for that matter) without at least one or two shit songs. With that being said, what is the WORST song from your fave band?

For me? my top 2 There are alot more, but I will share these.

1. Anthrax-H8RED Just dont like it. Its metal, yes, but it doesnt "do it" for me lyrically or riff wise.

2. Megadeth. Wake up dead. Eh, annoying to me. Again this is just my opinion.:Puke:

H8tred never did it for me either. Just seemed like filler to me. Maybe they needed to work on that one. I don't know? It's def my least fave song on that album. Which I think is a stellar masterpiece of an album. A true classic.

Wake up dead. I can relate to the part where he says "I wonder if she'll find out, about the other, other lover"

I don´t like "Madhouse" or "Riding Shotgun" very much.

To each their own dude. Riding shotgun is one of my most favorite songs of ALL FUCKING TIME!!!!

Madhouse is eons better on the Greater of two Evils. No offense Joey. I now know that you read this forum.

hmm i disagree. Does joey post here then? What is his username?

I'm biased here, since I don't really like State Of Euphoria (though it's got a few good songs), but I really don't like "Schism".

And, maybe it's just me, but I take it as one of the signs of the Apocalypse when Motorhead is writing music for the WWE. Thought that song blew chunks - and I love almost everything Motorhead has done, even stuff on Another Perfect Day!

Anthrax - Safe Home (sorry guys, I know a lot of you like it, but the whole emotional ballad thing doesn't cut it for me)

Carcass - No Love Lost (Not a bad song, but not as good as anything else they've done)

Megadeth (The Risk and The World Needs a Hero albums - awful)

Faith No More - Epic - if I hear this again, I swear I'll scream!

Anthrax - Safe Home (sorry guys, I know a lot of you like it, but the whole emotional ballad thing doesn't cut it for me)

I know it don't thrash out but, is it really a ballad ?

ANTHRAX - Cadillac Rock Box. I just can't get into this song (and it don't mean anything to me that dimebags on it). I burned a copy of WCFYA for my car and put the song Ghost in its place.

Least favorite of all time goes to

Anything by Motley Crue . These douche bags should be exterminated. It's like biker music for guys who wish they had a Harley. These clowns were the front edge of the whole glam fag movement, hardly a requirment for biker dudes.

there is not a single song that i don't like from my favorite bands Tourniquet and Mortification. i think that's the reason why they are my favorite bands.
Anthrax is my 3rd favorite band and there are a bunch of songs that i HATE!

my least favorite Anthrax-songs, or let's better say the Anthrax-songs i can't stand are:

1) Toast To The Extras
2) Piss & Vinigar
3) Nobody Knows Anything
4) Strap It On
5) Killing Box

i like all Anthrax-songs from "Fistful Of Metal" to "Stomp 442", so i don't need the skip-button if i'm listening to one of those albums. i can't imagine listening to "Volume 8" or "WCFYA" without using the skip-button, there are some songs that i absolutely can't stand. i couldn't get into "Stomp 442" when it was released and it was a big disappointment in the beginning. i thought it was a weak follow-up to the great "Sound Of White Noise" that got me into Anthrax. in '95 i only listened to "Random Acts" and "Fueled" when i put in "Stomp". By the time "Volume 8" came out i began to like "Stomp" and since then i enjoy listening to "Stomp" from the beginning to the end. so for my personal taste Anthrax have written the first bad songs of their career in the late ninetees.

peace!

My guess is the new Metallica will kick ass because they have to restore their integrity. Lots to prove. Maybe it won't happen though. James doesn't scream anymore. Maybe he should get a vocal coach or something. I was listening to a bootleg of a Metallica show I went to a couple of years ago here in DC and it was so lame the way he sang "master of puppets are pulling your strings". He SANG all melodic. What a LOAD of bullshit.

I loathe most of ReLoad by Metallica. The fucking Irish crooning song on that CD is TERRIBLE

I firmly beleive that if they combined Load and Reload and culled most of the songs, that it would've been one kickass album.

Anyhoo, offhand, I can't think of any Thrax song I hate. Sure, sometimes I may not be in the mood to listen to some songs, but there's nothing that I really hate.

As for other bands, I'm sure there are songs that I hate. Like, for example, the weakass non-Ozzy/Dio Sabbath songs.

Sooner or later I knew Metallica would end up on here. I think James has/had a vocal coach starting with the black album? I also agree that trademark Hetfield growl is missing. I have seen tons of bootlegs and vids and shit, and there is something missing. Unfortunately, to my knowlege, that is all he does is sing. Even Creeping Death, the whole sing along part isnt DIE, DIE DIE, its more like die, diiieeee, die, diiieee..

And on the note of the last 15 years of metallica (I always have an opinion on them) if anyone listened to the demos of most of those songs, the completely ROCK. Even with scratch vocals. Then you add your Pro Tools (creation of the devil) and million dollar production and you have what we hear on the CD.
