Hey James, what tuning is the Disincarnate record in? Bb? B? C? It's driving me nuts. :loco:

Also, are you planning any more lessons with chopsfromhell.com? I'd be first in line for a instruction book or cd rom from you.

Thanks in advance. :worship:

that album was recorded using C# same thing as Db. no drop tuning or anything.. just every string tuned down one and a half steps from standard pitch.

from low to high: C# F# B E G# C#

i'll do some instructional stuff again in the future.. tied down at the moment.. but keep looking. one day, one day

Cool, thanks. :) I had a feeling it was low, but someone tried to tell me it was in Bb few years ago, and I just couldn't believe it.

Yup, I know you're real busy atm with recording gigs, "Within The Mind", and whatever's going on with the Disincarnate stuff. Just figured I'd ask, since I need all the help I can get. :D

Hey James, I'm a long time fan that just discovered this site.

I was just curious do you use heavier strings when tuned to C# or do you still use 10-46 for that tuning?

Thanks man

in the past i've used a custom set of 10-48 for the C# tuning.. but i can't remember all the guages in between unfortunately. hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply!!! Yeah, I like the sound of tuning down to D or C# but I'm having a hard time with 10's. I guess I have to heavy of a right hand. I think will try some 11-52's to see if that helps or else I guess I need to lighten up my attack. It might be this 2.0mm pick chuggin' things out of tune:)
