Yes, it was Tempus Fugit, my husband's favorite YES song, and it ROCKED mightily!

Doug, Ted, Ed, Sean, and Bill, thanks so much for coming to CalProgDay and putting on such a great show. Also, thanks for being so warm and accessible to everyone the entire day. I heard many raves from people who were very impressed by your performance and appreciative of the time you took to connect with your fans before and after your set. What a great day for prog lovers!

BTW, my husband and I were the red-shirted volunteer ticket takers/wrist band givers who spent a good deal of time backstage between performances (He's in a Rush cover band, and I baked cookies, if that helps at all :)) This was the first time seeing you live for both of us, and we loved every minute of it. You can definitely count us among your growing number of fans.

Hope to see you at CalProgDay 2005, if not sooner!

Franziska

Thanks Franziska

We so appreciate the kind words and your support. You your husband and all the volunteers and the rest of the amazing people at Calprog made this so enjoyable for all of us last Saturday.

Hey your husband has great taste with TF and obviously knows what is great if he is in a Ruch tribute band.

This was an awesome cover ( Thanks Doug for suggesting it! ) Which really brought back a lot of influence for me and great memories of learning to play the bass. And this a bass song! Totally fun to play, all the parts are awesome and I think we rocked it. Drama is an incredible album and a forgotten one as well. I used to play it over and over learning Squires Basslines!

Thanks again to everyone responding on this long thread! some great suggestions and like I said before some really crazy ones which is all good.

Special thnks to Papa Jim for coming up with this totally cool idea for Calprog!

Ed

NP ) Tempus Fugit , can,t wait to hear the live footage.

Hi Ed,

Well, you guys just "rocked out socks off," to quote Frans, the DJ who introduced you :)

Unfortunately, you were the only band member we didn't get to talk to that day. But I did get to meet your lovely mother and aunt, as well as the beautiful Mia, at the door. What a great supportive group of relatives you had there!

We also picked up "Tug of War," and it has been in my CD player ever since. I truly enjoy listening to every song on the album. In fact, I don't even have a favorite because they're all awesome! Your bass style is great -- very reminiscent of Geddy Lee's. Can't wait to pick up the four albums we don't have and to see what your next one sounds like!

Thanks again for one amazing show :)

Franziska
