I hope this doesn't turn into something like Dragon Ball...

I'm not sure what to think...all the live action animes i have seen have sucked beyond redemption.

Death Note Live Action? yeah that sucked balls.

Dragon Ball? What a joke.

Now as some might know ghost in the shell might pull through just because I think steven spielberg is good at what he does I'll give that a chance.

But then you have neon genesis evangalion next year and Akira in 2013?


Any thoughts?

The Matrix = One of the best movies ever.

You know, I watched it again recently and now that the wow factor is gone and the special effects really don't hold up a decade later, i think it's actually a pretty shitty movie.

On topic: Live action anime is kind of a flawed concept in that it implies that animation as a medium is a less valid form of storytelling than "real" movies. There are techniques used in animation that cannot be replicated in a live action environment even with all the fancy whiz-bang CGI we have now.
