Create your dream band!

Damn, this is harder than I thought.

Vocals/guitar: Devin Townsend (kind of surprised no one's mentioned him yet)
Bass: Tom Miller
Drums: Jonas Ekdahl
Keyboards: Vitalij Kuprij

Now, if I myself could be in a band...this one would probably have to be more classic rock oriented than my other dream-band which is more versatile, since I can't REALLY sing in a metal style (though I am starting to find a technique for my James LaBrie impression that causes less vocal strain...scary...)

Female vox: me
Male vox, additional keys: Rick Wright (Pink Floyd)
Keys and additional vox: Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon)
Guitar: Jeff Beck (Yardbirds, then solo)
Bass: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Drums: Manu Katché (excellent session musician, has worked with Peter Gabriel among others)

(Trust me on this, those three voices would work well together.)

Vocals: Mikkel Sandager (Mercenary) for clean Vocals and Peter Tagtgren for the growls (he rocks on the new Bloodbath)
Guitar: Dan Mongrain (Martyr, Capharnaum)
Guitar: Nergal (Behemoth) or Bjorn from Vehemence
Bass: The almighty Steve Digorgio
Drums: That's a tough one... could be Flo Mounier, Seth from Behemoth, Nick Barker, Gene Hoglan.

this would probably sound like crap but what ya gonna do

Bass: Les Claypool
Guitar: Steve Vai
Drums: Mike Pornoy
Vocals: james hetfield (circa black album)

Guitars: John Petrucci, Michael Romeo, Dave Mustaine(Megadeth)
Bass: Billy Sheenan (If 2 members of the same band were allowed, I'd have picked John Myung)-(Steve Vai's bassist)
Drums:Virgil Donati(PlanetX)
Keys: Kevin Moore (JR and MP's bands are already used)
Vox: Myles Kennedy(Alter Bridge)

Singer: Axl Rose (Guns n' Roses)
Lead Guitar: Michael Romeo (SymphonyX)
Second Guitar: Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)
Bass: John Myung (Dream Theater)
Drums: Nicholas Barker (ex Dimmu Borgir)

Well...

Lead Guitar - Chuck Shouldinner (RIP) or Chris Broderick (Jag Panzer)

Jeezus, this is tough.... at the moment i would say...

Vocals - John Arch
Guitar - Tony McAlpine
Keys - Michael Pinella
Bass - Billy Sheehan
Drums - Simon Phillips

Of course like most people here, Symphony X pretty much is my dream band.... also in more real life circumstances, i would say the band I'm in now would be about as close to a dream band as I could get, in terms of combination of musicians and the type of songs were writing!

My dream band would be SuidAkra....NOT SUCKING IT UP WITH COMMAND TO CHARGE!

Sorry, lost control there for a second.

(...bastards...)

Vocals: Tarja Turunen (Nightwish - why did nobody mention her?)
Guitars: Michael Romeo (Symphony X)
Keyboards: Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater)
Drums: Ed Warby (Ayreon - nice to see some others name him, too, though I would normally prefer Portnoy)
Bass: not sure... maybe Sean Malone (ex-Cynic, ex-Aghora)?

Not sure if this would work out so well, though :D

Here is my ultimate Progressive Operatic Metal Band that is basically Star One :)

Lead Vocals: Irene Jansen
Lead Vocals: Marcele Bovio
Lead Male Vocals: James Labrie
Lead Male Vocals: Russell Allen
Back-up Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Back-up Keyboards: Arjen Anthony Lucassen
Lead and Back-up Keyboards: Kevin Moore

Guitar 3: Jason Becker (Jason Becker)
Bass: Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)

To those of you who may be a little bit confused, the order of the guitarrists does not, in any way signify who would be the lead guitarrists. All 3 guitarrists are legends, deserve as much respect as possible, and would all get their rightful moments in the spotlight. In other words, triple guitar leads. that would make the world right.

Ok Thor, there a minor detail you forgot... as far as bass goes harris wouldnt fit in with these guys (not his style)....same with Becker...I'd replace Harris With Jon Myung and Becker with Yngwie Malmstein
