Hey everyone,
I hope this is the right place. Someone asked me to produce a demo of Crimson III, and I thought I’d share it here with you all.
Listen here: [https://albertaswell.substack.com/p/crimson-iii-the-real-one-a-post-script]
(The track is approximately 21:26. If you’d like a direct download, let me know—I'll upload it to a file-sharing service and share the link.)
A bit of background:
I barely remember putting this together—I was driven like a man possessed. Listening now, I hear Dan Swanö, Mike, and some unusual guests like Robert Fripp, Steven Wilson, and Clay Withrow. I don’t want to bother Dan with this, but I don’t mind sharing it with those of you who crave this kind of complex, dark flavor of "masochism."
A brief description:
Sometimes, the most compelling metal isn’t on official releases or promo lists. It lurks in shadows—leaked, distorted, half-forgotten. Crimson III feels like a relic, an unofficial fragment of a lost dream—an echo from the underground archives.
If Crimson II was a polished masterpiece forged in Swanö’s vision, Crimson III is a decayed transmission—an artifact from the depths of the internet’s underground. No tracklist, no liner notes—just haunting movements that shift and warp like corrupted data. Massive riffs ripple with decay, vocals fluctuate between brutality and glitching serenity, as if trying to speak from beyond the grave.
Listening to it is like tuning into a haunted broadcast—heavy static, faint whispers, and moments of eerie calm. It’s raw, imperfect, and utterly compelling—a spectral piece of metal history for the brave.
Please note:
This is an unofficial, possibly unreleased or leaked material. Respect the artists’ rights and understand this is a fan-driven, underground artifact.
Would love to hear your thoughts—feel free to discuss below!
Thanks for listening,
Albert Anastasia [Aswell]
