Keep in mind that, generally speaking, the cabinet must mimic the Idiot King's stance on any issue. Not that they don't disagree with him (Powell does or at least did concerning the Iraq WMD issue), but it can't really be made public.

How do people sleep at night knowing that the decisions they make are wrong? Rumsfeld lacks so much eloquence as well, he almost seems cornered in every presentation hoping for the ground to swallow him whole.

Powell disagreed with that stance? I remember him standing in the UN stating how much evidence they had, blah blah. I used to like Powell, but if he really has disagreed, I wish he'd be more vocal about it and stand down. His resignation would be apt if he is to maintain any integrity IMO.

I'm sure they harbor some, but cannot be held responsible, as they are simply advisors to Bushy, as he makes the final call concerning what, where, and how to use the armed services.

Powell, on the eve of his speech to the UN, allegedly tossed all of the paperwork across his desk (the same he would later present), yelling "this is bullshit!" This comes from a fairly reliable source, Periscope (a media outlet that covers the important stuff as opposed to ratings-friendly TV garbage). He was following orders, just as all the others do. Although the most prominent in W's cabinet are still around, many others have resigned.

Also, Powell has gone on record saying that if Bush is re-elected, he will not serve under him. To me that said that he disagrees with the man, but probably does not want to jeopordize any political future he wants to strive for.

Do you know ANYONE who would vote for him again? I don't think I know a single person. It's an interesting state of mind this country is in because people are not even afraid to criticize him in public. A big group of people went to lunch the other day, and it was just a given that we all were anti-Bush.

I mean, no questions asked, no 'overstepping the boundaries', it is just assumed now that the country is embarrassed to have this muppet in command.

There was a big protest down the street from me last week when Bush and Schwartzisbigger visited Riverside, a bunch of people were holding up Howard Dean for President signs I guess. I would have gone if I would have known about it. Well, I probably would have just stayed home and had a sammitch, but my heart would have gone.

At first I liked the fool because of his take no shit attitude, but I didn't realize that it was going to involve globe trotting. Shame on me, but he didn't win the electoral votes of California so technically my vote didn't count.

And a big IT'S ABOUT FUCKING TIME that people can once again criticise this country's actions. The "100% patriot or die" bullshit that followed 9/11 made me sick. Patriotism is good, but calling one unpatriotic because they don't support the president? Give me a break.

Or the war. How people were so certain that this was the right thing to do just amazes me, and they all sit in silence now. Even 'Gugs - look at him. He was once going to boycott Wacken because he wanted none of his $$ to go to Germany. After reality kicked in, he went and had a good time. And yes, he spent $$.

I'm glad that the wave of false, destructive patriotism has worn off...as for Powell, he was quoted as saying that he believed Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction as recently as 2001.
