i think most everyone was pretty happy with the guitar tone from the 10 songs i produced for them last year... of which the track Ovum that most have you have heard is from. but, when it came time to do 5 new songs to finish off the album tracking (13 album tracks + 2 bonus tracks) i was chasing my tail to match that tone from last year... i even tried the same amp/cab combination... but the amp, roughly a year later, was sounding very different for whatever reason.. that original amp was a Mesa dual rec, and i had one on order to try and recreate or improve upon that sound from last year....i couldn't afford it, but was really keen to get a similar sound. i cancelled the order when it was decided that CR would be mixing. thanks to all of you who have complimented my mixes..... i appreciate it. i think the release date is set for the end of january... pick it up.

+1. much more personality, imo.

Colin's mix is great no doubt, but it really doesn't have any personality, just sounds like CR's 'sound'.

Yeah, I totally agree. After listening to the released cd it seems as if it's missing something compared to what James was doing......
so, James, how can we get a 16/44 copy of your mixes

Just got this album from Amazon. HOLY SHIT these guys are sick!!! Great record, like Opeth on steroids! Sounds fantastic too!
