DAR Amplifiers...

He's got mics on the cab though, not sure what the mix we're hearing is (cuz it definitely sounds like it's at least partially room/camera mic, if not entirely) - but yeah, not too impressed I'm afraid (and MAN that guy faps to Petrucci :goggly: )

So I met up with the designer and manufacturer of these amps yesterday and they were really cool. To bad their amps got stuck in London so I didn't get a chance to play one. But they went to the gig nonetheless and checked us out.

Hey Ola, the amp arrived today and me and Fredrik played it tonight. Two words: Holy Shit! It's a monster and it feels like you're getting a bitch slap every time you hit the strings. It wasn't the tiny one on the videos though, it was the Forza. I gave Mike (the builder) some small things that'll be added to the design. Gentlemen, this could be the first true plug and play metal amp. No boost needed.

I did some videos, but I'll send them to DAR before I put them here.

Edit: sorry about the sixe, but it's worth it. ;)

Understand about the videos....:erk:

but are clips possible?:heh:

you know:cool: sneap forum little secret :p

That was the only one they had, and I didn't have a chance to mike it up. Next time. ;)

It has the best tone stack I've ever heard in an amp, and it's the "contour' knob that changes the frequencies that makes the magic. Less than twenty seconds to find a sweetspot.

It was my idea. I feel cheated now, and have $300 worth of carbon fiber sitting here that I refuse to use now. I suppose it's my own fault for not coming out with it sooner.
