...pretty much of a waste, no matter what the cause was! I used to watch the original Kung-Fu whenever it came on, and sparred with his daughter at our Bellevue studio in the early 90's. The hotel he died at is pretty choice, in an OK area and not a depressive "dive". He must have got back into some heavy drinking or diagnosed with an illness to pull this.

I just remembered that my mom and I saw his band on New Years Day-1974, at the Diamond Head Crater's Concert in Honolulu.
Still got the little poster from that all day event. Dang!
