I've always been a metal fan, but Death metal has never really stuck for me. I typically listen to stuff like pantera, lamb of god, opeth, slayer, etc. Nothing too extreme. When I hear good death metal I like it. I'm off and on with bands like cannibal corpse, napalm death, dying fetus and cryptopsy. So I was wondering if you could give me your top ten reccomendations for best death metal albums.

Monstrosity - In Dark Purity

It's brutal American DM, but not so dense that the untrained ear can't make sense of it. There is more room to breathe and think within the songs. In other words it has songs that are more easily and immedeately distinguished from each other, while still being good and brutal and somewhat technical.

Browse through the the band recommendations sub-forum. You'll find plenty of stuuf there. Go with the classics. They are the most trustworthy.:)
