Melodic Death Metal Bands?

I wouldn't have said Death had nearly enough melody to be called melodic as such....and certainly, in a topic about melodic bands, no WAY does Death compete with so many other bands mentioned here in terms of melodicism. Ok, true, the opening of Flesh and the Power it Holds is beautiful....but really, there's hardly any other notable melodies on Perseverance. Death aren't a melodic band dude! I mean, a quick comparison to Dark Tranquillity shows that....or any of a thousand other bands.

Would you all consider Carcass' "Heartwork" to be melodic death metal? I am not so sure about it. Their last one I can agree that it is melodic death metal.

Any Death after Human, Carcass-Heartwork, first four In Flames albums, Soilwork, Dark Tranquility, Kalmah, Shadow, CoB, Skyfire, At The Gates, Dissection, Extol, and Vehemence if you can stand the anti-Christ schtick.
