Anybody got any Death & Roll suggestions? If you don't know what I'm talking about, stuff like Entombed's Wolverine Blues album would be Death and Roll. That type of shit.

Wolverine Blues is a great album and am sure tons of bands are influenced by it and play Death n' Roll, but I have not really bothered to look into the style. I recall Dismember `Massive Killing Capacity' being similar. Feral 'Dragged to the Altar' is a mix of Old School Death Metal and Death n' Roll.

Check out Horrific - Your Worst Nightmare. Maybe even Carcass - Swansong.

I know more but I'm at work and can't look them up.

Torture Killer is all I can think of that is in a similar style, if you like this kind of music than you should like slam death metal, which is pretty much the same thing except heavier and better.

Both styles are slower, more groovy death metal, slam death is heavier, there really isn't any other difference. Its entirely possible to like Entombed and not like a single slam death metal band but to say there aren't obvious similarities in such a manner is fucking retarded.

Hampeus is looking for Death Metal bands that incorporate Rock influence into their music. Did you take a fucking Retard pill ?

The title clearly says "Death & Roll" which in reality is just slower, groovier death metal, I hear absolutely no "rock" in anything by Entombed, Six Feet Under, Torture Killer, Dismember, etc. An example of "rock" in death metal would be Opeth, as they have prog influences in pretty much all of their music.

Your point is shit is the problem. This sort of reminds me of the Vektor is black metal shit you spouted off a while back.

I was just fucking around back then bro, I never posted seriously, then again I still don't

I don't see the point in posting on the internet without having fun fucking with people.

Since I'm finally home, here's some more stuff + my original recs with vids.

Horrific - Your Worst Nightmare

Carcass - Swansong

Gorefest

Xysma

Unleashed - Hells Unleashed (the rest of their stuff isnt like this)

A couple single songs
Amon Amarth - Guardians of Asgaard

Bloodbath - Brave New Hell

Entombed-Wolverine Blues has Rock influence, the bands following 2 albums are actually Rock album's also. Nicke Andersson drummer/songwriter was into Rock music and was in the Swedish rock band The Hellacopters, which were really popular in Sweden. If not one of the most popular rock bands in Sweden. Opeth has Rock influences also, but mainly influenced by 70's Prog Rock. There is a big difference between bands like Jethro Toll,Pink Floyd,The Doors,The Alman Brothers,etc... and more Modern Rock music.
