Death Vocals - Favorite & Impact?

Agreed with Demonspell, except I think Deliverance is my favorite Åkerfeldt performance, excepting perhaps Brave Murder Day.

fav. death vocalist: mikael akerfeldt, hands down. no explanation needed.
the way vocals sound is very important to me. if i think a bands music is excellent, but i can't stand the vocals..i won't even listen to them. death vocals are generally similar, but with little differences, so i suppose i like many death singers death vox, but i think akerfeldt has something very diff. than most. there's something about the way it sounds, that is fuckin amazing to me.

Geez...I completely forgot about this performance. I didn't even consider anything outside of Opeth, but yeah, this confirms it further IMO.

I sort of like Johan Linstrand from The Crown. I remember vividly grinning sheepishly at him at Wacken, when I noticed those insanely cool sideburns. And his voice has this rasping quality to it that partly seperates him from the crowd.

I like German Death Metal growls because they are so scary. Bands like Jack Slater, Profanity and Seirim give me nightmares.

mostly I find them interchangable

the ones that really stick in my mind are Kam Lee from Massacre and John Tardy
but maybe I just really liked those bands?
