Well there's speculation, but nobody's ever been able to prove what it is. People always conjecture that its Morbid Angel or Mayhem from what they hear, but nobody has been able to point to the actual tracks.

WaveLab, CoolEdit, Audition, Cubase... anything letting you work with sound files.

You know, for a person currently doing end of year exams that determine what university I get into, yes, I do have too much time on my hands.

The program I used is Adobe Audition 1.5 (formerly known as Cool Edit until Adobe bought them over). I'm a naughty boy and downloaded it (too piss poor to actually buy it, and too piss lazy to save up for it). But anyways, it's probably one of the cheaper audio programs...although i bet you could find a free/trial program on the net that you could use to get rid of silences.
