Demons & Wizards???

I'm pretty certain they'll be playing ATTWS. I read some time ago in an interview or something that they would be playing that, two or three other songs off the new album, and I don't know what else. I wouldn't get your hopes up for D&W though. It's not like Iced Earth's drummer and bassist are going to be there, and if I'm not mistaken, they play for D&W. Unless Oliver and Thomen know the D&W music, then I don't see how they could play it. Besides, D&W suck. Except for Heaven Denies. I would kill to see that.

Yea, you'd know huh?!
At least I know how to freakin' send an e-mail? Maybe you should spend less time here and more time figuring out how to send a freakin' e-mail!!!
Ahahahahahahaha!!!! :) :p :) :p :) :p

Change of a Mem: I agree with you.. but I neeeeeeeeeed some D&W!!!!! ;)

@Tess, well if your email wasn't so full of PORN spam mail, then I could have sent it the first time no problem! :)

As far as the BG rhythm section picking up the D&W stuff, I don't think it's too difficult to figure out after a couple of takes...it's definetaly possible...

Aaaaaaahahahahahaha!!! Who said it was SPAM anyways? ;) ;)

Have I mentioned how much I wanna hear D&W at Prog Power??? OHMYGOD!! I feel sorry for the people on both sides of me and behind me if they DOOOO play it -- I'll be freaking out!! And I'll definitely be UP FRONT THE WHOLE TIME THIS YEAR, I know for sure, cause my friend Franco from Connect-I- Cut is going to save me a place up front since he managed to secure a good spot the whole time last year right??? Hahahaha... :D  :D

Maybe you didn't read my user name, eh?! KIDDING!!

I'm a good girl, I totally deserved that -- you got me -- you win. :( So anyways the deal is this ---> the boyfriend (who is totally hot and sexy by the way ;) ) isn't so much into the music so I'll probably end up front alone :( hehehe... So I just figured.... you being my friend and all, could make sure I have a good spot, but if you're declining then that's cool too. You probably won't even say hello anyways... :p :p We don't have to discuss this here though....

DEMONS AND WIZARDS PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Well, here's the thing about professional musicians. They can play more than just the stuff they write. And if there is a D&W set, I'm sure there will be some rehearsal effort beforehand - I don't think there will be anything so spontaneous where Mr Schaffer would just happen to show up on stage with his guitar hanging off his knob.

D&W do not suck either IMO! That's some of the best vocals I've heard from Hansi - especially Fiddler on the Green.

It's probably more realistic to see Hansi join Edguy for Out of Control. I could live with either/both. :D

Whoa!! Are you serious?!?! They can!!?!? :D Of course im joking..

We'll probably get Jon Schaffer, Hansi Kursh, Edguy, and Silent Force all on the stage at the same time doing a rendition of "We are the World" or something.

regarding the necessity (mentioned far earlier) of having Iced Earth's drummer and guitarist present, Mark Prator hasn't been in Iced Earth since The Dark Saga, and Jim Morris never was. likewise, Richard Christy and Larry Tarnowski were not in Demons & Wizards on the first album, though I must admit I am ignorant of the lineup planned for the second one. so while the "required" people will still be missing, they aren't the people you thought they were. I am also inclined to agree that Blind Guardian would probably rather play their own material; Hansi isn't the only person in the band.

@maestro, when you leave before PAIN OF SALVATION comes on, don't forget to remind to throw your punk ass out of there...I forget sometimes that PoS is too complicated for simple minded people like yourself...

But didn't we go through this earlier - saying that you only really need Schaffer and Kursh and then ANYONE else to make up D&W on stage? What does it matter who plays drums or bass - they're all professional musicians capable of covering other peoples music.

The point is moot either way since it 'aint gonna happen me thinks.

Now, I'm a *huge* PoS fan, and I truly hate it for the people who don't like them--I think they're missing out on some great stuff--but calling people "simple-minded" because they don't like something is way too much. That kind of elitist attitude sucks, quite frankly, and is even worse than calling them "Pain of Boredom" (shame on you, too, tho! ;)

happy to help,
Shaye

@Euro Metal Fan: You're an idiot.

The only 'Pain' associated with PoS is the pain of having to sit through their endlessly melodramatic and pointlessly droning songs. THANKFULLY, they're on AFTER Blind Guardian.

I guess I'm too 'simple-minded' to understand after all as well.

maestro_al & I won't save you a spot at the bar. :D

Actually will you guys have room for one more? I think I'll join you right after the glorious Blind Guardian encores :D

I love the way PoS fans presume that for anyone who doesn't like Pain of Salvation, it must be because we've 'never given them a chance' blah blah.

I'm sorry I have no idea what you're saying...but then I must be too simple minded because I find PoS to be so complicated...oh woe is me.
