hey there everyone... unfortunately I am not the one/many that you speak of. thanks for the recommendations so far though... i have to say that i enjoy the older forgotten tomb (springtime depression) much more than the new one, negative megolomania. nortt's split with xasthur is my favorite material from both of those entities, but i don't like much more of either's stuff. here's some quick descriptions of a few of the bands...
birkenau - same guy from i shalt become... his later stuff
lycanthropy's spell - one of this band's members died at the age of 19 from heart failure.. good stuff.. from belgium i believe
aaskereia / brocken moon - great stuff from germany, both bands have the same vocalist
ashes - from the uk.. one album is a 50+ minute song! highly recommended
bleak / wormtongue - usbm... wormtongue is pretty classic with a lot of folk influence and acoustic breaks. bleak is just like the name would entail...
caina - also from the uk.. the newer stuff has a post rock feel to many of the songs... if you like smohalla, amesoeurs, or maybe lifelover this might suit you
some more for the list:
triskele
niflheim
sombres forets
