Devin Townsend Project - KI

"Noisy Pink Bubbles" off of Infinity makes me feel like I ate a bunch of LSD no matter when or where I hear it. In my opinion:

Terria > Infinity > Ocean Machine > The Hummer > Accelerated Evolution > Synchestra > Physicist > Ziltoid

But they're all fucking awesome.

Start at the beginning. You'll appreciate everything a lot more when you can actually follow HIS evolution as an artist.

Yes

Don't forget to pick up our own James Murphy's first solo album [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000108L?ie=UTF8&tag=backmask-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00000108L"]Convergence[/ame] - not only is it one of my favorite guitar records of all time, but it also has two songs with Devin on lead vocals! It is one of the albums that changed my life, and it's how I became a fan of Devin.

for me it's gonna be Infinity>Biomech>Terria>Synchestra. Unity's end on Infinity is one of my fav moments from him, as is Bastard from Biomech. I bought Synchestra's limited edition with the live in studio bonus DVD, and it's one of my favorite music DVDs

^ Yeah, Deadhead is unbelievable. The vocals.............ahhh I wish I could sing like that.

On another note, I'm still wondering how in the fuck Sit in the Mountain ended up as a B side.

Dude! Holy shit ... its because of that exact cd that I became a Devy fan too :D

Thanks again for that one James :kickass:

not just for the Devy part either ... that disc still gets played often

Touching the Earth is by far the best track Murphy's ever done. Fantastic vocals by Chuck Billy there too. Devin's contribution is :worship:

my gf bought infinity for me ahwile ago and I think it is one of devin's most crucial albums in time. Musically you can really see where all the other albums expanded from. It's that moment where you actually hear him experimenting and plunging into the unkown oddities that is devin's music.

truly great and with an opener like truth you cannot go wrong

Nobody talks about "Deadhead" ?? It's one of my fav tunes ever ! Check the dvd version with the studio live recorded, on youtube.

Bastard is truely a killer one, and The Death Of Music is just... incredible...

Hey guys, I don't know if that's true, but I've read he uses the drumkit from hell and doesn't even processes it so much ! I've read somewhere he said he often just put it and made it sit in the mix easily. Can you confirm ?

Both Deadhead and the youtube video you mentioned are talked about in the post above yours where Splatt is quoted and also earlier in the thread, sounds like you didn't really read the thread .

I don't know about the processing, but he used EZDrummer on Ziltoid.

i purchased terria on itunes two months ago, then 1 week ago i got syl's alien on itunes!

I Love it!!! Great stuff!!!!!! I say for me its worth it big time!!!

I could loop the song Terminal all day long and not get board with it!!

You don't have it yet???

GET IT.

It sounds so amazing. I drove home after a session at midnight, listening to it in the pouring rain. It was the perfect soundtrack for that moment. The layering on the title track is just immense. I love it. I'll give a +1 to the "Terminal" comment as well.
