Devin Townsend Project - KI

absolutely can't wait for the new two, supposed to be the heaviest stuff he's ever done. the fourth and final DTP album is supposedly going to be most stylistically alike to a new age record.

I listened to it twice today... to me it's good background music, but I don't really hear any SONGS on this album. It's quite a bit more restrained than usual Dev stuff - I prefer him when he goes massive and epic.

Ok, wow, I'm sorry, but that video is ridiculous, Devin is dressed like a homeless man rocking out in his living room, there is very little about that I can take seriously

ok... so I heeded all of your advice, and I picked up the album yesterday. It is pretty good. I will +1 all of your "Terminal" praises. That is a pretty good song. I think this album is a bit reserved for a DT album... but I also think it's due to the lack of drug induced inspiration. LOL. Even Devin said that was a problem when he was trying to write.

Wait, exactly what "drug(s)" are we talking about here? Just his bipolar meds? Cuz he doesn't strike me as a heavy recreational drug user (to his credit)

Hmm, interesting, never knew he was a pothead - oh well, I never try to write or do anything when I'm high, and I refuse to smoke before 7 PM at the earliest, so I'm not too worried about falling into the trap - purely recreational for me!

The first time I ever heard Ocean Machine and Terria, I instantly knew he was a pothead.

Hmm, yeah, might explain why I really can't get into Ocean Machine that much! (just way too spacey and unfocused sounding for me, but it has its moments)

Haha, you know, that's not a bad idea, last night I was digging Terminal but I also was able to realize that I'd be bored stupid if I weren't high
