Iv been looking into DFHS because I have read it is amazing. I have used FL Studio for years to program drums for my songs and have gotten used to it and get fairly decent results but I would like to do all of my programming on my mac since FL Studio is only for PC. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how easy it is to program drums in DFHS and if it is similar to FL Studio at all? And also how does it work with your host tracking software.. I use Pro Tools so does it HAVE to run with that? or can it be used as a stand alone program like FL Studio?

DFHS has to be run inside a host program. Recently they have released an RTAS version which can be downloaded from their site. There is a load of useful stuff there too, its worth looking through once you purchase it and have registered. I have never used it with Protools, but once you get it up and running you should have no problems. The forum at Toontrack is pretty useful too if you are after any more help.
