Did anyone see Opeth back in their first year?

Or just while they were still pretty much unknown...I'm just wondering how you'd compare their _very_ early shows to now.

Also, do you think you realised how big they would become or just dismissed them as another unknown band with the opening slot that would soon be forgotten?

I actually found some live mp3's of them back in 1991.. They played 3 songs, but I cant remember the names. I thought it would be really cool to see what they sounded like, but they were so terrible sounding that I just deleted them all. They dont sound ANYTHING like they do in Orchid. I will say there was one part I recognized in the whole thing.. they did play the part in Forest of October after the solo ends. You know, the single guitar part that Mike plays? Anyways, if you want it I'll tell you where you can find it.

Well if you use IRC, connect to irc.efnet.net and join #bootlegcentral BC-x30 is the one with the song. If you guys dont know how to use irc, then just dl and install mIRC, then go to www.ircspy.com and search for opeth. Look for that server/channel/person, and the filename is Opeth_-_Stockholm_1991_192Kbps(Absorbant).rar once you find it, click on the #12 that appears to the far left and it will automatically connect to the server and all that for you. Then once you are in the chan, just paste and hit enter. Dont get to excited.. its terrible i tell you. Its very hard to hear anything.
