Actually records were around that length so that's why tapes where made that long. But it was much better when bands were writing 45 minutes of music every year rather than the 72 minutes of music every 3 years.

FrostGiant said:Blah, blah, blah.. I can't listen to it cuz of the production. That's just stupid. I bet you still listen to Slayer and Megadeth and everything else from the 80s. The production on those albums stink (not too mention the medium of choice when they were released was casette tape). EoR aint even close to that bad.
Make yourselft at home and discuss it. I don't have any interest in the matter simply because I didn't find the album as good, and I'm just wondering why.descendencyfw said:Make yourself feel better... go listen to St. Anger for a while, then come back to EoR. You'll see the brilliance in the production of EoR after having to listen to the mess know as Sucktallica! It'll make EoR sound like QR's 'Empire' production. ...anyway, I couldn't listen to a cd constantly (and I mean approx 10 hrs a day plus it's on repeat while I sleep) since it was released if the production was all that bad. It's a 'straight up the middle' mix I'm not thrilled about, but it has a good live, raw sound. ...and for those saying they can't hear the bass or the drums, stay off the bottle long enough to sober up. I would prefer a more 'pounding' bass drum and bass, but again, it's not bad at all...
please wipe the tears and move on. I'd love to start some threads discussing the individual songs and their individual brilliance, but it seems as though there wouldn't be much interest in that aspect of the album![]()
Rust In Peace is one of the best metal albums EVER! You can't deny that now can ya?NoLordy Capone said:Megadeth sucks, period.
