hey.......i own a line6 flextone2xl........it cost me £700 and its one of the best things i have ever bought.........i tried out so many other amps in the shop.........marshall, laney etc... but i thought the line6 kicked all their asses.........does anybody else use line6 here? :)

i run a line6 POD into my jcm800 half-stack. i'm trying to figure out if i can get an effects loop put in the head tho. if not, i'm gonna try selling it for a marshall power amp. i don't like the marshall pre-amp coloring the tone at all. makes things too confusing when tryin to adjust EQ's.

anyone wanna buy a JCM800 100W head? :)

I had an effects loop built into a 1960's super 100w lead head (thus crippling it's value, but what the hey ) so it is possible :)

I only use the effects return so I have in effect a power amp for my triaxis

I run a Line6 POD --> Behringer mx1700 --> Alesis Nanocompressor --> Fostex VF1600 or a Marshall AVT50, and I fucking love it. It can produce the widest range of tones of any single processor I've used.

Sorry, I think Line 6 sucks. I'm a tube freak personally.

Great for recording, thin, dull and lifeless at stage or rehearsal volume levels.

Sounds like crap mic'd through a pa.

Oh well, to each their own.

i just bought a flextone II XL with the floorboard from my guitar teacher's student for about $550.,.,i love it because i can shape the sound anyway i like.,.,.but i doubt i will play a live show with it.,..

I can't afford an amp right now, but whenever I go into a Sam Ash or Guitar Center to just jam(They're cool with it there), I always plug into a Line 6 amp. I forget which model, but I think it kills. I love the distortion sound it gives me, and it's loud enough to drown out the guys who can't even play a Blink 182 song if their lives depended on it. So, when I can afford it, I'll prolbabl;y but a Line 6

I use a POD direct into my DAW. I have no amp (not one suitable for recording anyway) plus I live in apartment complexes so I'm not able to crank it loud enough anyway. BTW, If you POD 2.0 users aren't already aware, there is a 2.3 upgrade available. All you have to do is call Line 6 and they mail the chip out to you free of charge. The old one just pops out and the new one pops in.

i gladly have a spider 212...and i think its the perfect amp to have

the sound is really flexible and pretty good quality...the amp can get real loud, its 100 watts, but since its not a tube amp, i can play with the volume low and it still sounds great...i love the delay feature too! its cool to set it kind of long and do some self harmonies like malmsteen or vai

my only complaint is the flange isn't flange at all, but that's ok i don't need the sucka

yeah it takes me no time to get the sound i want, and i think its pretty good and clear...
the distortion is just a little dirty sometimes...and yeah if you're right next to the amp it sounds funny if tis loud
