Lyrics are important to me; they help make the song whole.

So yes, I read lyrics.

For the most part lyrics used to mean nothing to me. All the emotion and connection are found in the music being played I feel. Anyone can write lyrics to relate to someone's life and yada yada yada...But it takes true skill to move someone with sounds. The lyrics that I do enjoy very much are from MAYH and Orchid. Almost every Rush album has excellent lyrics in them. And the albums that really touch me deep down are the lyrics to The Sky Moves Sideways and Stupid Dream. Those of you who have heard those awesome pieces of music truly know the power of SW's vocals+lyrics!!
