on one of the video's on the Met site they said they won't be releasing any singles like they have in the past. So it will be up to the radio stations to pick what they play.

I'm not banking on the new Metallica record..Ten years of alternative radio crap from Metallica is enough..I of course was a big Metallica fan in the 80's..
I'll give it a listen without buying the CD, but Lars with his Napster shit pissed me off..
Don't like the idea of Metallica touring with Limp Dizcut and Stinkin Park..That shit just blows..-l-

i have hope for the sound of the new album, as they're still among my top 3 bands, but, as many people have already mentioned... LOOK AT WHO THEY'RE TOURING WITH!! i'm having the absolute hardest time getting around that, it would be like Opeth releasing another good album, then touring with Madonna and Greenday or some such shit. it's very damaging to my psyche.

I'll try it out. If it's good, I'll get it - if it isn't, I won't. I never had a grudge against them, they can do what they like. I don't have high hopes for the album, but I don't think it'll be too bad.

No I don´t see the cover yet...but the skulls pushhead made for the t-shirt are fucking cool..we are not talking here to Nicklas Sundin but if they make a cover like the one he make for Battery remenber that skull?

It is NOT James either. I've been a Metallica fan for 12 years now, and also been a Metclub member (theif official fan club) for some years now. I know this shit.
That song is by the band HolochausT!
(Not to be confused with the band Holocaust).
All the leaked "demos" are fake, the song "Hunger" is by the band called Eternal Descison.

I bet this album will kick some major ass. Some Belgium journalist was just drooling after hearing some of new songs.

hmm.. I don't really care about this new metallica album coming out. I've given MoP some listens and AJFA a few less listens, and I thought those were good albums last year when I was getting into metal. I don't really consider myself a Metallica fan really, but I have some respect for them and that is for making metal what it is. Even if there newer stuff sucks cock, it doesn't matter to me. If this board hypes up "St. Anger", then I'll download some of it in the future, but im more excited about new Maiden or "Damnation" even! (still resisting the temptation of downloading it hehe)

Nobody should even bother with Metallica, anymore. Their last creative effort as a band was Master of Puppets. That said, I have nothing against Newsted. I am totally looking forward to what he does with Voi Vod and I hear he is trying to get the gig as Ozzy's bassist, since Ozzy's previous Bass player is now with Metallica. Dudes' name totally slips my mind. He was with Suicidal Tendencies, too.
