What's the appeal of this band?! I have the disc, in fact I got an advance of their record. It's a rough mix... I think I might have pissed off my contact because I didn't shit my pants when I heard it...
Is this what you'd call Flower Metal?! It is rather fruity sounding...:p

happy happy Euro Flower Power Metal as we have too much in Europe.... I don't get it why these bands are this popular... I have to hear only one tune to go; "oh not one of those again !!" ... It's some kind of Helloween on speed, completely boring after 2 songs.

I Believe for some reason their is something lacking with alot of New bands, Where did the songs go....why do I feel I must strangle my Budgie half way through a song by any of one these bands? Its all about songs really if you want to hear great underground "New" Metal go to Scottish Heavy Metal band wwwAgankast.com It will however leave you more bewildered as how a band this good is unsigned and Budgies are lying dead in cages all across the globe.:headbang:

Perfectly stated my brother in metal! Yes that exactly how I feel.

Yeah, sure.....listened to some Agankast and it's about the same thing, but another style...Euro black metal as I heard it too often before. Vocals anyone around here can growl, weak songwriting.... Goes straight to the same pile as Dragonforce for me, sorry if I disappoint you Egor....New drummer and clean vocals could improve that act big way !! But don't let my comments hunt you away here, you got the right intentions so hang around a bit, you might like it here...

At the end of the day Belgium Budgie lovers will always come out and create "a bit of a fuss" when you mention anything that could potentially in any way damage the well being of our feathery bird friends. These Budgie fanciers will flay their arms out in all directions and retaliate verbally when the merest suggestion of any bird cruelty is mentioned. Belgium as everyone knows of course is a hybred for Budgie breeding, Budgie Contests and even on occasion "Budgie sex"....but it does seem to me a little sad when in this day and age an innocent comment about "Pet Care" can provoke such a response.

Dragonforce are heavily influenced by Stratovarious.

Indeed and therefore I don't like them either. I hate the "flower metal" tag, but I quickly use it to separate those Power bands I like (Helloween, Blind Guardian, Heavens Gate, Azrael, Angra, Steel Prophet, etc) from those I don't (Stratovarius, Skylark, Rhapsody, Dragonforce, etc.).

Although there are some very flowery bands I do stand: Wonderland, Forgotten Tales, Freedom Call, Nightscape, Crystal Ball

You studied literature, didn't you ???

How I sum up my liking of Dragonforce:
Valley of the Damned - Crap, this is fast. And pretty cool.
Sonic Firestorm - More of the same, but overall, better than the album before it
Inhuman Rampage - ... Ok, we get it. Time to switch up the formula, boys.

They are ok for a young band. However personally I am not into the keyboard and cheesy lyrics. They are too fast sometimes I feel, however it is extremley amusing watching a group of drunk 18 years old metalheads try and headbang in time with through the fire and the flames.

I like em i just bought all of their cds and i wanna go see em they're coming in a few weeks

Indeed, it is. I remember a few months ago reading on KNAC.com that Dragonforce was looking for a new bassist and interested parties should submit their packages to their management. I decided to take a look around the web, found their website and listened to the first of the Mp3s on the site. I promptly looked like this: :puke:

I listened the other Mp3s and, upon hearing the same thing, continued to look like this: :puke:

I don't think I've heard a band with this limited of a growth since hearing Helmet in the 1990's.
